DONTE
I have been alive for over two hundred years and have never met anyone like her. Hybrid. An abomination. I should have ended her when I found her as a child, but something stopped me. Maybe Fate. Instead, I took her into my pack and my men have raised her to be a Warrior, like us. It may not be enough. Not only did the humans create her, now they hunt her along with a powerful shifter. And if my father ever finds out about her existence, he will stop at nothing to destroy her. But she is mine, and I will protect her. Always.
PUP
After years of training I now fight alongside my pack, and alongside my Alpha. He is everything to me. Although, I’m starting to wonder if he will ever see me the way I see him. While he worries every day for my safety, I worry he will never think I am strong enough. I need to prove to him that I am worthy enough to be in the pack, and to be his equal. Let my enemies come. I will continue to fight to be here. With him. Always.
Her For Him is the first book in the Fated series, a fated, shifter, paranormal romance for mature readers. Featuring a need-to-dominate Alpha and an aspiring warrior Omega, they fight against humans, shifters, and mages to live a life together. This dark-themed, slow-burn novel is full of violent battles, fights for control, and sexual needs.
I glanced up and down her naked body. She was definitely a woman. The strongest woman I knew. I do see her in the way she wants me to. That’s why I care so damn much for her. I was mesmerized for a moment as I looked into those beautiful eyes that were full of anger, and confidence. They were unguarded and telling. I loved the way she was able to tell me all her emotions. Shifters were always so shielded; too many years of hiding secrets. She was still pure. I hadn’t damaged her yet.

I went into the bathroom and immediately turned on the sink and splashed myself with water. My heart began to pound at the thought of how close I was to really losing it. My heart damn near stopped when Donte barged in and broke me from my thoughts.
"Leave, Donte."
"Not until I know you are alright."
"I'm fine," I said, staring at the running water.
"Look at me."
I did as he said, hoping he would see I was fine then leave. That didn't happen.
He moved quickly and was not gentle as he cupped my face and forced me to keep looking at him.
"I don't like this side of you. You are angry, and pained. And I know it is my fault, and that only adds to my anguish."
His words shocked me. They threatened to soften me but that dark part of me refused to allow it. I tried to pull out of his hands but he grabbed my upper arms, holding me still.
"Talk to me. Yell at me. Hell, fight me if you have to." I grabbed his shirt with both of my fists as the grief bubbled over inside me.
"How could you?" I shook my head. "How could you stay away? No calls, no texts, not even a damn letter– for two years!"
"I couldn't!" He held on to my forearms. "If I heard your voice– or even had the chance to say words to you, there wouldn't be a god living or dead that could stop me from going to you." The look in his eyes was urgent. "I couldn't, Pup. When it comes to you, I'm not strong enough."
“You were strong enough to leave in the first place. And I suffered everyday without you while you were out trying to finish a war we were supposed to fight together." His eyes darkened and he stepped forward, forcing me back until my back was against the wall.
"I suffered Pup. Oh, I suffered." My hands released his shirt as his own slid back up to cup my face. "The days were torturous, making me beg for nightfall. When the darkness came, I was finally able to feel some sort of relief because I knew that was where I would find you."
I scrunched up my eyebrows in confusion.
"I saw you every night. I’ve kissed you hundreds of times. I've touched your body in a thousand different ways.” His eyes were on my lips now and heat spread downward, deep into my core.
"Every night– in my dreams, you were there." I didn't deny him when he reached for me. The fire caught instantly.
